“Use your time wisely at school,” says Karen Kuhn, Oyler’s high school counselor. “Be productive and don’t waste your time.”
Oyler students have returned to the halls, but on a hybrid A and B schedule, so balancing school and home life could still be a challenge during this time of partial online learning. However, as Ms. Kuhn says, there are ways to balance your school and home life without feeling overloaded or stressed.
Ms. Kuhn says, “set a dedicated time at home to work on school work.”
Don’t take this time to be on your phone talking to friends. Instead, use this time to get everything done. Ms. Kuhn also suggests you do your school work in a place where you won’t be interrupted.
She closes with saying “get enough sleep so you can be more productive during the day.”
This way you can get more work done during the school day and have to do less work at home.
Carlissa Dennis, one of Oyler’s high school students says she follows Ms. Kuhn’s advice by using her time wisely during school.
She says, “I choose a certain time of the day to do all of my work. This way I won’t have any assignments that are past due.”
