Cheerleading is returning to Oyler this year! Ms. Applegate’s favorite thing about coaching cheer is “the fun, the excitement and the girls learning and helping each other.”
Ms. Applegate also gave us information on how many people are on the team. There will be between 10 to 15 girls on the team.
Ms. Applegate says this about practices: “The season hasn’t started yet but usually practice is from 3:30 to 5:00 everyday.”
Since COVID is a really big part of our lives, there wasn’t a team last year so she says that “getting the girls to show up on time and doing what they need to do” will be the hardest challenge this year during the season.
The cheerleading team cheers for the boys and girls basketball team.
“I want to see new faces and a bigger team.”
